Paired with the Mindroid app it also works as a full mind machine, delivering synchronized light and sound stimulation across a range of frequencies — including an experimental 40 Hz gamma program. (The mask itself has no speaker; the sound plays from your phone.)

About the 40 Hz gamma program
The Mindroid app includes an experimental program that flashes light and pulses sound at 40 Hz at the same time. This frequency has been the subject of published neuroscience research on gamma sensory stimulation, referred to in that literature as GENUS.
